Uncertain freelance income is one of the main sources of hesitancy for people who want to get started as freelancers. It’s also the single most common counter argument we are presented when encouraging people to start freelancing. And it’s true. Freelance income is different from a fixed salary. However, for independent workers, this perceived uncertainty of freelance income is not an insurmontable argument.
Where do I start? There are plenty of articles online about freelance rates, how to calculate them and how to communicate them. Most of these blogs and authors give good and relevant advice. The exception being the “mentors” that try to convince you that wishing is doing
